A CEO of an investment management group, a real estate broker, a real estate investor and a Canadian executive are among the buyers and sellers in this week’s priciest homedone deals.
$8,800,000.
Larry P. Clemmensen, as trustee of the Larry P. Clemmensen Living Trust, paid cash for a home in the Jokake Camelback area of Paradise Valley north of the Phoenician Golf Club. The 3,138-square-foot home was sold by Rhonda N. Liepman and Diana S. Marchildon, as co-trustees of the Disclaimed Property Trust, created under the Marchildon Revocable Living Trust, and Betty Ellen Marchildon, as trustee of the Marchildon Revocable Living Trust. The house also has a 544-square-foot pool originally built in 1951 and features four bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms on 4½ half acres. advertisement
Clemmensen is president and CEO of the Capital Group Companies, rated No. 20 on the Forbes list of largest private companies, based on mutual fund assets.

Malcolm E. Boswell and Cathy L. Boswell sold their home in the MacDonald Acres Area of Paradise Valley just west of Mountain Shadows Golf Club. The 4,896-square-foot home with 1,071-square-foot pool, originally built in 2001, was purchased for cash by HBA Inc. of Scottsdale.

Jonathan Tratt of Phoenix purchased a new home in the Ward Estates area of Paradise Valley east of the Arizona Biltmore Golf Course. Calvis Wyant Homes of Scottsdale built and sold the property. Tratt is a real estate investor from Paradise Valley. He represented former Congressman J.D. Hayworth last year at a candidate forum organized by the National Council of Jewish Women. Attendees took offense to some of the Tratt’s statements, which they said questioned their faith.

Kenneth L. Campbell and his wife, Diane, of New York paid cash for a home in the Desert Mountain Area of Scottsdale west of the Desert Mountain-Outlaw Golf Course.
Richard A. Grafton of Grafton Capital Corp. in Calgary, Canada, sold the 4,543-square-foot home with 400-square-foot pool originally built in 2001.
$2,650,000.
John Douglas Peters of Phoenix bought a home in Lombardi Estates area of Scottsdale southeast of the Phoenician Golf Club. The 5,028-square-foot house, originally built in 1994, was sold by David A. Leyvas and his wife, Tiffanie.
Leyvas is a Phoenix real estate broker who has helped Home Depot locate its stores in Phoenix and other Western cities for over 20 years.
